My connection to Xenos goes back to my high school days. I was a stubborn young man and wanted nothing to do with organized religion. Several friends invited me to their churches, but I didn’t see a compelling reason to become a Christian. Near the end of my senior year I visited a Xenos high school group and was intrigued by the casual style and intellectual honesty. I would grill the leaders with questions, trying to poke holes in the Bible, but over several months the Bible won. I received Christ in the fall of 1993 with the people who patiently talked with me at this time.
Because of my experience, I have a real heart for young people, and spent 14 years working with the Xenos high school and college ministry. Now I work in the adult ministry, helping home group leaders, teaching, and preparing classes. I am very burdened to help adults find meaningful roles to play in God’s work. It’s exciting work with so much opportunity to innovate.
I’m married to Jess and have two kids . One of the greatest joys in my life is working with my family and friends to help young families learn and grow in their faith. Xenos is the most exciting and vibrant community I have ever been a part of. I'm very grateful to God and the body of Christ for all the love and opportunities to serve that I have been given. My biggest desire is to help lead Xenos in the amazing direction God has already provided.
