Dear friends at Xenos Christian Fellowship:
We are always so grateful for the generous support of India Gospel League (IGL) through the Xenos Humanitarian Aid Fund!
In 2015 you gave $15,000 for two years’ support of six Barefoot Pastors. This marks the fourth year that Xenos has supported IGL’s indigenous church planters. One of the most interesting features about our Barefoot Pastor Program is that their support lasts for only a limited time. The goal is for these pastors to become self-sustaining through the support of the local congregation. They also raise up leadership within the church who also plant churches in nearby villages, again supported by outside resources for a limited time. It is truly patterned after Paul’s admonition to Timothy in 2 Timothy 2:2. “The things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, entrust these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also.”
The most exciting initiative in 2015 is your partnership in our Adopt-A-Region (AAR) Program. In November 2015, Xenos contributed $35,000 to support the region of Gondia in the state of Maharashtra. The AAR Program is a five-year saturation process designed to reach entire regions for Christ. IGL pastors move into a receptive region, proclaim the gospel, establish communities of believers, train them in ministry and then send them out to do the same work on their own. The goal is for each church in a region to become self-sufficient, self-governing and self-propagating within two years. It is such a joy to be partnered with Xenos Christian Fellowship in reaching the unreached for the Kingdom of God!
India Gospel League is committed to the evangelism and discipleship of the people of India. With your support, we have been able to move forward with this commitment.
Thank you so much for your invaluable and continuing partnership with India Gospel League.
