Dear Friends of Harambee Christian School,
I'm pleased to share that 2013 was a strong year for Harambee teachers and students. Students continued to excel academically, as measured by their performance on the Ohio Achievement Assessment and the Measures of Academic Progress exams. Students achieved above the 60th percentile on average in Reading (61st), Mathematics (70th) and Language Usage (62nd).
Other highlights include graduating our first ever 8th grade class, and having our very own teacher and Middle School Director, Michael Harvin, awarded as Greater Linden's Teacher of the Year in 2013.
In addition to their time at Harambee Christian School, students benefit from large and small group Bible studies, one-on-one mentoring, and Blow Out and Epic Camp. We're most grateful to partner with you in order to provide these resources our students need to become agents of positive change in our community and the world.
On behalf of our staff, students, and families, thanks for "coming together and moving it forward with us" - the meaning of Harambee.
With Deepest Gratitude,
