1121 Statement of Objectives

The following are the stated objectives for Xenos Christian Schools:

  • Provide an educational environment that expresses the reality of the Xenos Christian Fellowship Statement of Faith.
  • To educate students so that they can identify biblical principles and apply them to their lives through prayer, fellowship, and Bible study.
  • To plan educational experiences in conjunction with biblical principles.
  • To provide Christian instruction that teaches true faith in Jesus Christ, allows students and staff to express their faith, and enables them to become effective Christian servants in the world today.
  • To maintain a staff committed to Christ and capable of providing the educational experiences designed for this school.
  • To provide an academic climate that encourages learning through a variety of methods.
  • To provide for the child's intellectual development through a curriculum designed for the individual to achieve mastery of both knowledge and skills required for meaningful participation in contemporary society as an adult.
  • To nurture competency in communication, research skills, decision-making, problem-solving, and integration of information.
  • To provide students with opportunities for growth in the social skills required for participation in today's society.
  • To foster initiative, self-assessment, and confidence in students by promoting success in the areas of personal strengths and calling for improvement in weak areas.
  • To develop the student's obedience to God as the foundation for self-discipline and obedience to all legitimate authority.
  • To provide an environment of Christian love and discipline to assist the family in nurturing growth in all areas of development.
  • To teach children the skills of resolving conflicts in a peaceful, godly manner.
  • To teach with a global perspective and develop compassion for all humankind.
  • To provide a curriculum designed for the students to achieve mastery of motor skills.
  • To provide opportunities for the students to develop fitness-living style skills.
  • To provide opportunities for the students to develop physical skills necessary for sports.

1122 Review of School-wide Objectives

1122.1
The superintendent working with the school board is responsible to evaluate and review the school-wide objectives at least every 5 years.

1122.2
Changes in school-wide objectives require Xenos Christian School board approval and may be initiated by either the superintendent or the Board.
