5310 Elementary and Middle School Curriculum Selection
5311 Curriculum Review Process
5311.1
The original curriculum was selected as defined in the 1983/84 XCS Policy Manual.
5311.2
XCS revises and updates all of its curricular programs every five years, including the school purpose, philosophy, and objectives.
5312 Review Committees
5312.1
Specific review committees will consist of the administrator, curriculum coordinator, assigned staff, and special consultants representing XCS parents.
5312.2
The educational program review shall reflect pupil interests and needs as identified by the staff and parents.
5312.3
The review committee has the responsibility to assure that the program for assigned subject is reviewed and suggested changes are made in the Course of Study.
5312.4
The review committee may recommend to the administrator new textbooks and materials to be implemented the next school year.
