Luke 22
Betrayal and Denial
With Dennis McCallum
Judas. This name immediately calls to mind the betrayal of Jesus. No
person better personifies a traitor. And yet, what about Peter's cowardice
and denial? Both men appeared sorry for their actions. This passage
draws important distinctions between Judas' shallow remorse and Peter's
genuine repentance, and between worldly and godly sorrow. There's plenty
of application, including how accepting God's forgiveness can free you
from self-pity and shame.
