Thanks for visiting my page! . I first heard about Xenos when I was in High School. A girl in my chemistry class invited me to a party where I met some committed Christians who could explain their faith and defend it. Intrigued, I visited a Xenos home group that they attended. The teachers there made the Bible easy to understand - I felt like they were teaching directly to me! The people who attended were from different social cliques in my high school, but they all cared about each other. The mixture of good solid teaching and authentic friendships and community drew me to God and I committed my life to Christ. Since then I've been learning more about the Bible, trying to grow together with other Christians, and learning how to serve other people - a work in progress! My wife, Edith, and I teach and lead a home group like the one I first attended many years ago. Our group is mainly made up of singles and young married couples. We love to learn about God together and develop new ways to present the gospel in a relevant and compelling way to our friends and neighbors. I consider serving in home church my most important ministry. |

Space One of my favorite responsibilities is inviting Christian leaders and scholars from around the world to participate in the Xenos Summer Institute, a yearly conference designed to address issues of relevance to the local church. When I'm at home, Edith and I love to spend time with our daughters, Maggie and Kate. We all love to travel, read, and spend time outdoors. Does your church have an effective way of training and mobilizing people to serve? If so, I'd love to hear about it. If you have questions about the Study Center, our classes, the Master's Degree program or anything else, please drop me a line. I'd love to hear from you! |
