- Oversees all Oasis nurseries
- Assisted by and meets quarterly with nursery directors
- Tracks weekly nursery and volunteer attendance and schedules nursery caregivers at all meetings in all nurseries

Student Leadership
- Oversees student assistants
- Development of fourth and fifth grade student leadership program
- Part-time paid staff
Central Teaching Director
- Oversees a department (i.e. nursery, preschool or elementary) at one CT
- Meets quarterly with the other CT Directors, Program Director, Program Assistant & CT Administrator to plan and discuss issues
- Serves teachers, parents and children by being available to answer questions and help with issues in the classroom such as discipline, team unity, etc.
- Keeps in contact with status/needs of classroom through coordinators/lead teachers
- Observes and evaluates classrooms to provide suggestions for improvement, encouragement and other feedback
- Provides necessary communication between administrative staff and teaching teams
- Records weekly classroom and volunteer attendance
Student Director
- Works with Student Leadership Director to oversee and train student assistants
Classroom Teams
Nursery Coordinator
- Oversees a nursery room (i.e., infants or one-year-olds at one of the central teachings)
- Delegates duties to caregivers and student assistants
- Communicates status/needs of nursery and meets once each quarter with other coordinators and the CT Nursery Director
- Responsible to trade with another coordinator and notify CT Director to arrange for an absence. For a list of screened caregivers, refer to the nursery schedule provided by the Nursery Administrator
- If unable to complete the one-year commitment, responsible to find a replacement.
Lead Teacher
- Oversees a preschool or elementary classroom at one of the CTs
- Delegates duties to team members and student assistants
- Communicates status/needs of classrooms and meets quarterly with other lead teachers and CT Director
- Distributes Oasis handouts to the team
- Works with team teachers and student assistants to build team unity. Creates and provides an environment where children can experience, learn about, respond to and grow in the truth and love of Jesus Christ
- Responsible to call the appropriate "sub" line and to notify CT Director to arrange for absence
- If unable to complete the one-year commitment, responsible to find a replacement.
Nursery Caregiver
- Works with coordinator, other caregivers, student assistants and parents to create and provide an environment where children can experience, learn about, respond to and grow in the truth and love of Jesus Christ
- Responsible to trade with another caregiver and to notify coordinator to arrange for an absence. For a list of screened caregivers, refer to the nursery schedule provided by the Nursery Administrator

Team Teacher

Student Assistant
- Students in sixth grade and older
- Assists nursery volunteers and classroom teachers with classroom responsibilities
- Must go through the screening process before being placed in the classroom
- Placed in nursery or classroom by Program Assistant in conjunction with student director
- Responsible to trade with another student assistant and notify Lead Teacher and Student Director if unable to work scheduled week
- If unable to complete the one-year commitment, responsible to find a replacement
Support Teams
Curriculum
- Write and/or edit preschool or elementary curriculum
Art
- Design/create lesson supplies, other materials to complement and use in preschool and elementary curriculum
Craft
- Design appropriate crafts to coordinate with weekly lessons
- Gather and distribute craft materials for each classroom one week in advance
Drama
- Write and/or present skits and puppet shows for preschool and elementary classrooms at scheduled times
Missions
- Write and/or present nine missions lessons to elementary classes each year
Music
- Provide music to coordinate with the preschool and elementary curriculum (for children age two through fifth grade)
Substitutes
- Scheduled two weeks each month to fill in as needed during the absence of weekly teachers in the classrooms

All Positions
Additional for Leadership Positions
- Member of Xenos home group for at least one year
- Highly recommended, but not required, that the applicant have completed the Christian Principles classes
Director position also includes:
- Highly recommended, but not required, that the Director be a member of the Xenos Servant Team
Oasis Volunteer Position Time Commitment
- Elementary & Preschool Directors, Lead & Team Teachers: Weekly at the same CT for one year (September through August)
- Nursery, Student Assistants & Substitutes: Weekly or bi-weekly at the same CT for one year (September through August)
- Support Teams: As specified by specific need of the position
