Oasis Children's Ministry Oasis Letter from Elders Dear Prospective Oasis Volunteer, You are about to become involved in a ministry that is vital to the mission not only of Xenos Christian Fellowship, but to the Church everywhere. Leading people into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is central to our faith and central to every activity of the Church. Leadership of children is especially important as one called to be God's instrument to help set their spiritual course for a lifetime. Children are enthusiastic, trusting, sensitive and vulnerable. They are in need of the most tender care, loving but firm guidance, and watchful protection. Because we take our leadership responsibility seriously, we need to know as much as we can about those to whom we entrust the care and nurturing of our children. In a church as large as Xenos, the only way we can do this is to gather as much information as possible about our volunteers. The attached application may seem to some of you unduly long, burdensome or intrusive. But, the answers you provide help our staff to evaluate each applicant's suitability for the leadership of our children.
