Our Goals
- Provide a biblical foundation and forum where people can recover
from the devastating effects of substance abuse & codependency.
- Provide an environment conducive to the study of the Bible; to encourage
each other; to share positive recovery experiences; and to build and
maintain lasting friendships in the Christian community.
- These meetings are not a substitute for involvement in home groups but are for the purpose of providing help and guidance for persons seeking
freedom from substance abuse & codependency.
Never Alone Ministries Help with Recovery from
Chemical Dependency & Codependency
Never Alone volunteer workers have been dedicated and successful
in teaching, discipleship and sponsorship, as well as building friendships with individuals in community
12-Step programs.
What were about
The mission in the Never Alone ministries is to help people grow spiritually,
and replace their chemical dependency or codependency with sacrificial service in Christian
fellowship. We welcome people who struggle with chemical dependency, as
well as their family and friends.
While some of our members belong to other churches, Never Alone ministries
are part of Xenos and the local church community. Most participants are
involved in Xenos home groups. In the sense of 1 Corinthians 12, we are
grateful to be part of the greater Christian community.
What youll
experience at a meeting:
Never Alone (substance abuse recovery)
The Sunday afternoon study group applies Biblical teachings and discussions to recovery and spiritual growth. In addition to Bible studies, we invite guest speakers, share personal stories of recovery and read other Christian books applicable to recovery.
The Friday evening group examines recovery-related topics such as anger, jealousy, injustice, grieving, relapse, new friendships, social contact with alcoholics and addicts, substitutional addictive behaviors, anonymity vs. confidentiality, the myth of control and independence, making amends, fears, and surrenduring our lives over to God.
The Tuesday evening West Side meeting is also a topic discussion format with an emphasis on Biblical application.
The Wednesday evening South Linden meeting is a literature study focusing on recovery from drug/alcohol addiction.
