Training: Equipping Component
This curriculum assumes that alll educational pre-assessment requirements
are met, and that missions candidate has 20 hours per week available for
field preparation training per missions proposal. The equipping division
curriculum requires 12 hours per week, leaving 8 hours per week for related
missions division preparation. The curriculum outlined below requires
participation in relevant weeks of the Bible Seminar, guided research,
and CIT-course modules.

- Bible Seminar readings and assignments

Ethno-spiritual case study of target field (12 weeks)
- Detailed research on the history and current missions to target
field
- Spiritual profile of target people
- Analysis of missiological issues relevent to the field (e.g.
contexualization)

Personal and Family Preparedness through CIT (11 days)
- Practical life on the field

New Testament history and theology (10 weeks)
- Bible Seminar readings and assignments

PILAT language acquisition training through CIT (1 week)
- Basics of language learning through phonics and grammar
|
Interpersonal Skills through CIT (1 week)
- Dynamics of working with others on the team
|

Hermeneutics (4 weeks)
- Exegesis skill development
- Awareness of improper use of scripture in theology
- Teaching skills development

Studies in misions theory (6 weeks)
- Cultivate discernment on missions theory through survey of the
basic schools
|
Optional: DISC Psychological battery through CIT (2 days)
- Identifies strengths and weaknesses relevant to stresses on
field

- Identifies and explains causes of missionary failure
