The sights on the islands of
Southeast Asia are often breathtaking, with terraced rice paddies cascading down
mountainsides, majestic volcanoes, a magnificent array of wildlife and flowers. It’s
a land abundant with beauty, exotic foods, glorious colors, and plenty of smiling faces.
But just beyond the allure of the beauty; however, there exists a staggering spiritual
need. These islands have the distinction of being one of the largest, if not the largest
unreached people group. What that means is that there is no culturally relevant church
specifically designed to communicate Christ’s love. And many obstacles exist, keeping
the people from coming to a full knowledge of God’s love and desire for their lives. Xenos Christian Fellowship and World Team, in a progressive partnership of local church and mission agency, believe that together we can be used by God to make a difference in the lives of the people of Southeast Asia. In August 1993, Xenos sent a team from Columbus to their new "home" in Southeast Asia. Three families have committed themselves to the awesome work of self-sacrifice, self-denial, active love and service to the Southeast Asian people. The team will work to plant thriving churches so that the people can hear the good news God has for them in their own language and culture.

task is great
indeed! Southeast Asians embrace many beliefs which lead to living in daily fear
of a "god" they are unsure about and "spirits" that can turn on them
at any moment. Our God is not so small that He cannot "grant them repentance leading
to the knowledge of the truth, that they may come to their senses and escape from the
devil, having been captive by him to do his will." Southeast Asians are in need of
such an escape, and you can play an active role in providing that for them.
Please consider your role in providing for the Southeast Asian people. Enter the front lines of mission work by getting involved in the task of taking the Gospel to the remotest parts of the earth with Team Southeast Asia.
