The Taiwan Team

Located off the coast of China, Taiwan is home to over 16,000 registered temples - the most temples per capita of any country in the world. A number of Christian churches have been established among the upper the upper class of the island.

However, amongst the vast majority of the population, the working class, less than .5% have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Why have so few of the majority of the population been reached? Class and social distinctions, "Christianese" culture and spiritual oppression have combined to form large barriers to the spread of the Gospel to this unreached people group.

In June 2000 Xenos Christian Fellowship deployed 3 couples to plant churches among the working class population of Taiwan. The team is based in 2 different cities and partnering with Overseas Missionary Fellowship (OMF). These couples are working to make the love of Christ culturally relevant to millions of Taiwanese.

The Taiwan team members from Xenos consist of Robb and Holly and their daughter, Sean and Amy with their 2 children, and Tim and Jennifer with their 2 children. Each member is using their gifting to reach a people mired in folk and traditional religion. Their prayer is to see the Taiwanese people freed from the slavery of ancestor worship and the accompanying fear.

If you are interested in being part of God's work in Taiwan, there are several ways you can help:

  • Prayer partners - Prayer is the most important aspect of any church planting effort. Without it, we labor in vain. CONTACT INFORMATION

  • Financial Partners - Consider supporting one or more of our church planters. Each family depends on monthly support from financial partners. This is an excellent way to participate in the work God is accomplishing in Cambodia. CONTACT INFORMATION

  • Advocacy Team - This team seeks to educate, increase awareness, and communicate what God is doing in Cambodia with the local church. CONTACT INFORMATION
