Jr Hi Home Page

AMP (AM Pavilion) and JAM (Jr. High AM), our Sunday morning junior high meetings, run concurrent with the Sunday morning adult Central Teachings. They were started so middle schoolers could enjoy a meeting while their parents relax during their adult meeting. The meetings have short Bible teachings with discussion are enjoyed along with plenty of snacks and time for recreation.

Our main goals are to develop teachers and to involve students in the complete planning and implementation of each meeting. This fits perfectly with our mission: to reach students who don't know Christ and to develop workers and leaders for Christ's church.

The vast majority of multi-media, including skits, games, videos, discussion groups, activities, etc., are planned by jr. high students at a monthly organizational meeting. Students also have an active role in every aspect of the meeting. They help set up, run activities, oversee snack distribution (probably so they can be close to the eats), and help with clean up.

Many students join Marc and the
teachers to pray before the teaching.

If students are going to become real workers and leaders for Christ, they need this kind of practical, hands-on training.

AMP meets Sunday morning during the Pavilion CT. JAM meets every Sunday morning during both Central Teachings. We meet at Building X, 1290 Community Park Dr. JAM For meeting times, see our meeting schedule.

So what actually happens at the meetings?

After the teaching we
lay out a table full of snacks.

As soon as students arrive, they can jump into a fun game. We have pool tables, ping pong, foosball, video games, etc. If students don't want to get involved in theses games, they can  just run around, skateboard, play basketball, socialize or just annoy one another.

After a while, we gather around and listen to a relevant  teaching and discussion about God.

JAM and AMP are great places for junior high students to find out about God and have a blast doing so! Again, students bring hundreds of guests each year, many of whom become naturally involved and excited about God, His involvement in their lives, and the new friends they've made.
