Teaching Resources
In a three year period, you will likely have about
seventy cell group meetings. We do not have a published
curriculuum that each cell group follows. Each cell leadership team developes
their own schedule of teachingsthrough prayerful knowledge of their
student's needs. The purpose of these checklists is to help cell leaders
consider, evaluate and recognize blind spots as they plan their cell group
teaching series.
The "Jr. High Curriculum" provides a list of teaching
topics that address specific student needs and includes priority topics
selected from the Servant Team Discipleship Checklist. It is anticipated
that all of these topics will be covered during the three-year cell group
cycle.
Recommended Books of the Bible are listed for
each grade level and have been italicized for easy identification.
It is anticipated that at least one Book of the Bible will be covered
each year.
Discipleship Checklist
(Addresses specific cell group members needs)
The "Discipleship Checklist" lists all the relevant
teaching topics from the "Personal Discipleship" paper provided during
the 1999 Servant Team Meeting.
It is anticipated that a study of a particular Book
of the Bible, "God’s Incredible Plan," or other book, will cover
other topics not bolded within the Discipleship Checklist. Priority should
be given to cover at least one of the components of the "Law & Grace"
topic, as none of these items are specified in the Jr. High Curriculum.
However, it is anticipated that not ALL of the topics within the Discipleship
Checklist will be covered before the 8th grade students are
sent off to High School. The Discipleship Checklist is intended to provide
direction, so that cell group leaders may focus on particular topics,
to meet the specific needs of their cell group students.

How to Teach Students
At a worker training seminar in 1997, Dennis McCallum gave a presentation
on teaching students. This is the paper
that accompanied it. This paper will give you real clarity as you prepare
a teaching for Jr and Sr high students.
