Gary DeLashmutt Crossroads Project Speaker
Gary DeLashmutt is one of the founders and lead pastors of Xenos
Christian Fellowship in Columbus, Ohio. He received his B.A.
from The Ohio State University and an M.A. in Religious Studies
from Ashland Theological Seminary.
Gary
is available to speak on the following topics:
"How
Can Jesus Be the Only Way To God?"
This talk is a critique of religious
relativism as well as a defense of Jesus' claim to be the world's
only Savior. After tracing the roots of religious relativism and
how it has changed the meaning of terms like "tolerance,"
I critique it as intellectually untenable and often personally dishonest.
I conclude with a challenge to take Jesus' claims seriously. (This
talk is for both Christians and non-Christians, and is part of a
series on "Contemporary Objections to Christianity.")
"Keys
To An Effective Home Group Ministry"
Are you a pastor or leader who wants to make home groups the most
important element in your church work? Drawing on more than 20 years
of experience leading a large home-group based church, I explain
the crucial principles for a home group ministry that reaches people
for Christ and equips them to be effective workers. This talk is
part of a two-part or four-part series on effective local church
ministry. (For pastors and workers.)
"Effective
Evangelistic Expository Preaching"
Is it possible to communicate effectively
in the same teaching to both Christians and seekers? What are the
advantages of expository teaching over topical series? This talk
answers these questions, and explains how to develop expository
teachings that simultaneously reach seekers and challenge Christians.
(For pastors and workers.)
