In the early 1900's these buildings were part of an amusement park that closed sometime in the 30's.

This aerial shot shows most of the site. The stores to the left rent from us now—a pool hall, store, and community service group. |
While the building came super cheap, renovations costs ran much higher than expected. Also, the project took nearly 6 months longer than expected, leaving our group stuck in an over-crowded facility with retarded growth. Two large buildings with some storefronts occupy the block we bought. The one in the foreground is open now. The larger one in the background will open this summer. Both are capable of hosting a large (450-550 person) Central Meeting. We plan to operate simultaneous meetings, rather than one large one. |
The all-new exterior will look better when we get the lights over the awnings adjusted. A mistaken calculation left them way too close. The fake stone in front helps break up the long front and differentiate this part from the woody part to the west. |

Inside, the café has an open feel, and we brought our furniture over from our old building. With seating for 150, the café is open to the public from Noon to 10 pm every day, and serves its own coffee, roasted onsite. Our coffee is as good or better than anything in the area. |

Adjoining the café is the reading room. The fireplace adds some atmosphere during cold Ohio winters. Study carrels on the left (just out of sight) offer free computer time including internet and printing. Students can finish papers or teaching outlines there. A sizeable collection of reference books, commentaries, and other titles are stacked in the shelves on the wall to the right. These can be browsed onsite only. The whole building has free wireless internet. This is becoming a gathering place for discipleship dyads, small social groups, and unconnected students who want a nice place to study. |

The spacious main auditorium is hard to photograph, but it seats 450+. Additional people can listen through the glass wall between the café and main room. The speaker stands in the center of the room with chairs in a circle around. Two screens make multimedia material visible to all. The curved ceiling and wall have resulted in exceptional acoustics for our purposes. You can easily hear people sharing or praying from anywhere in the room without any help from microphones. Because of the centrally located stage, people are never far from the speaker, or from each other. The room has a surprisingly intimate feel. |
Lecture/discussions are Monday and Thursday evenings at 8:00. Everyone welcome.
Open to the public for Coffee, and study. Monday through Friday 12pm to 7pm. Saturday and Sunday 9am to 6pm. Free internet! Stop by and see our place!
