Fresh Water Wells

Lack of access to clean water is the source of many diseases in India. Although clean water is in great demand, it is very difficult to come by. Most villagers are forced to collect surface water, usually polluted, or carry water from streams several miles away. Providing a well as a ready source of clean drinking water can dramatically improve the health and welfare of an entire village. Construction of one well costs $1,150.
