A. God's Nature
- Unity I Corinthians 8:6; Ephesians 4:4-6

B. The Attributes of God
- Omniscience - Knows all things actual or possible at once (Psalms
147:5; Isaiah 40:28).
- Omnipresence - Transcends all limits of space (Psalms 139:7-10).
- Omnipotence - Can do whatever He wants (Genesis 18:14; II Timothy
2:13).
- Sovereignty - He owns the creation and rules it, causing all of His
creatures to depend on Him (Genesis 14:19; Acts 17:24-28).
- Love (grace) - He always treats His creation with love and an attitude
of mercy (I John 4:16).
- Righteousness - His moral character is the definition of goodness
(Mark 10:18; Job 34:10; Hab. 1:13).
- Immutability - Devoid of change with regard to His attributes or promises
(Hebrews 13:8; James 1:17; I Samuel 15:29).
- Veracity - Speaks of both truthfulness and faithfulness (Hebrews 6:18;
Numbers 2 3:19; Titus 1:2).
- Infinite - Free from all limitations (Psalms 90:2).
- Self-Existent - The ground of His existence is Himself - God is uncaused
and exists by necessity of His own being, therefore necessarily. See
divine name YHWH (Exodus 3:14; Jn. 5:26; Isaiah 40:18). Totally independent.
- Justice - Retributive only towards fallen man, remunerative toward
unfallen creatures (Romans 2:1-16). _
