4. Highly emotional conversations are usually unproductive
5. Avoid getting sidetracked.
6. Don't lie or "fake it."
7. It is not always necessary to be on the defensive. You are also in a position to ask questions.
8. Resist the desire to "win."
9. Recognize a closed mind. (Mt. 7:6; Prov. 26:4,5)
