Degree Options

There are four different ways to pursue a seminary-level education through Trinity Evangelical Divinity School at Xenos Christian Fellowship:

Below is a detailed summary of each program and what each offers students.

Master of Arts in Religion (MAR)

The Master of Arts in Religion (MAR) degree is intended to provide a basic understanding of theological disciplines for further graduate study or for general educational purposes

Cost: $220 per credit hour

Credit hours: 48

Time to complete: You have 8 years from the time of your enrollment to finish.

Ideal for students who are…
§ already involved in ministry and do not need a professional program such as the Master of Divinity.
§ seeking a seminary education but cannot leave their place of ministry or employment.
§ desiring to start the MDiv degree, but cannot relocate to Trinity (up to 50% of your MAR course work can be applied toward your Mdiv degree).
§ seeking to be better equipped for lay leadership in the church.
§ desiring to be a more effective witness in the marketplace.
§ interested in specialized ministries both overseas and in the United States.

You may take courses towards an MAR degree while enrolled as a visiting student. Courses taken for credit as a visiting student can be used toward a MAR degree or towards a Certificate of Biblical Studies.

Admission Requirements

Applicants to the MAR program must have an earned a minimum undergraduate grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 (on a 4.0 scale). If your GPA does not meet the minimum for this program, we encourage you to contact Trinity's the admissions office (ph: 1-800-445-8337; email: tedsadm@tiu.edu).
