When summarizing what people share, you can often correct something someone said that was corny, or churchy, or insensitive to guests. The teacher should always be on watch for jargon and non-user-friendly language and immediately say, "Oh so you're saying..." with appropriate language substituted for the former. Of course, you have to be quick on your feet to translate such language quickly. Also, if a point was made that is too extreme, or unqualified, you may correct it by either adding your own qualifications or balance points, or calling on the sharer to do so. You also have to consider whether to disassociate yourself from what was said.

Try your hand at these imaginary comments by having one member of the group read each to one of the other members. Then compare other possibilities like before.

Yeah, this reminds me of people who think it's okay to have abortions! I just can't believe that people are willing to murder like that!

I think you just have to plead the blood when you come under Satanic accusation like that.

The bottom line is, if you want to grow, you've got to get into the means of growth. That's it!

This is just like in our house with accountability.

And I was just really under attack all day.

I just don't think that kind of thing pleases God, because he wants us to be holy.

... and God just told me not to date.

And this is true of the Gay agenda for America.

I learned this a couple of years ago when I was under church discipline.

And they taught me I had to be careful about hanging around with sinners all the time.

And I think God judges people today, like the other day, I lied to my boss, and I got in a wreck on the way home.

It just wouldn't be good for your sanctification.

It's like, that might be permissible, but I don't think would edify.

Yeah, my discipler is really like that. He gets on my case when I'm in sin.

[New member] I talked to this girl at work, and she said she was in Xenos for a couple years, and found that if you don't do what they want, they totally reject you. She said they kicked her out!
