Exam Review Guide
Week 1
Know these definitions: eschatology, millennial kingdom, convenantalism, dispensationalism, amillennialism, post-millennialism, and pre-millennialism.
Be able to support this statement: Old Testament prophecies about the Messianic Kingdom should be interpreted literally instead of figuratively.
Know what Covenantalists and Dispensationalists believe about Israel’s future in God’s plan.
Know the approach Covenantalists and Dispensationalists take to interpreting unfulfilled Old Testament prophecy.
Week 2
Know the definition of double-reference prophecy.
Know the differences between and definitions of type, gap, and type-gap prophecies.
Be able to identify the kingdoms described in Daniel’s visions (Daniel 2, 7, & 8) and the order in which they appear.
Know the differences between and identities of the “little horn” in Daniel 7 and the “small horn” in Daniel 8.
Be able to defend the 530 B.C. date for the authorship of Daniel.
Carefully review what your notes say about the fourth kingdom in Daniel’s visions.
Week 3
Be able to explain the difference between the kingdom that Jesus came to announce and the kingdom that the Jews expected.
Know the two key signs that the end of the age is at hand.
Reflect on what it means to be ready when Jesus returns.
Be prepared to write a short description of the Antichrist.
Be able to explain from Revelation 4 & 5 why God is worthy to rule.
Be able to explain who appears at the Bema Seat and Great White Throne Judgments and what happens to them.
The Bible urges Christians to seek eternal rewards (“lay up treasure for yourselves in heaven” – Matt. 6:20). Know different ways Christians can accumulate eternal rewards.
Know these events, what they mean, and the order in which they occur: Church Age, The Tribulation, Second Coming, Millennial Kingdom, Great White Throne Judgment.

Daniel 9:27* - The 70th "week" of God's dealings with Israel—the tribulation.
Revelation 19:11-21:8** – The chronology of events from the second coming to the new heavens and new earth.
