Genesis 4:1-15

Cain kills Abel

God accepted Abel’s sacrifice but rejected Cain’s. This made Cain angry and he took it out on Abel by killing him. Because he did this, God cursed Cain (5:10-12).

People often bear a grudge against God when they don’t get what they want from him.

Jealousy still drives people to hurt and kill each other.

I tend to nurture anger towards God when he doesn’t give me what I want.

When I sense God is favoring someone else I can become jealous and secretly wish for their demise!
