The purpose of this assignment is to expose students to the practices and beliefs of other churches. Visit one church from each group below and complete a separate worksheet for each visit. Both worksheets are due on the last week of class and are required to pass the course.
Please make every effort to comply with guidelines observed at the church you are visiting: dress appropriately (call ahead to learn about the attire you should wear), don’t be disruptive during the service, and don’t bring food and drink inside the meeting room unless you see others doing so.
If you have the opportunity to speak with someone, tell them who you are and the purpose for your visit. Be respectful, refrain from passing judgment, and learn what you can. When you get home, complete the attached worksheets and record your observations.
