3190 Termination of Employment

3191 Resignation

3191.1
Any certificated employee may initiate terminating his/her employment if it should become apparent that he/she shall not be able to complete his/her contract by a writing a letter of resignation to the administrator at least 20 working days before effective date.

3191.2
Any classified employee may initiate terminating his/her employment if it should become apparent that he/she shall not be able to continue work by a writing a letter of resignation to the administrator at least 10 working days before effective date.

3191.3
The employee's final check cannot be released until a letter of resignation has been received.

3192 Abandonment of Position

3192.1
When a certificated employee is absent from his/her duties more than three days without due approval, the Board may rule the contract to have been breached and declare the position open.

3192.2
When a classified employee is absent from his/her duties more than three days without due approval, the Board may declare the position open.

3193 Layoffs and Involuntary Termination

3193.1
If XCS must terminate an employee's contract or employment, reasons for the action shall be given to the employee.
