3140 Employee Selection

3141 Interviews

3141.1
The superintendent shall initially interview all selected applicants.

3141.2
A second interview with Board members may be scheduled if requested by the Board or superintendent.

3142 Employment Offer

3142.1
All staff shall be assigned responsibilities in accordance with written job descriptions and their qualifications.

3142.2
In regards to certificated personnel, the superintendent recommends to the Board the person to whom an employment offer should be made.

3142.3
The Board shall make the final decision as to hiring of all certificated personnel.

3142.4
All employees with the exception of contracted employees shall be classified as probationary for the first 90 days of employment. If during this probationary period employees are found to be incompatible with required job responsibilities, they may be dismissed immediately.
