All instructional materials and equipment must reflect the stated philosophy, goals, curriculum, and instructional methods for XCS.

Classroom materials and equipment are selected by the classroom teacher or administrator.

5322 Inventory

5322.1
Teachers complete inventories at the beginning and end of each year.

Inventory records are maintained in the school office.

5323 Stewardship for Materials

All employees will use materials responsibly.*

Employees will utilize only designated supplies without authorization.

Students are responsible for their texts and materials, and should damage or loss occur they or their parents are accountable.

5324 Evaluation of Educational Materials

5324.1
Each year the classroom teachers will evaluate educational resources for his/her class and submit a list of needs for the classroom and the school including worn or outdated materials that he/she believes should be replaced.

5324.2
As part of the educational program review process, the review committee may evaluate related educational resources and make suggestions for the purchase of supplementary educational materials and equipment.

5324.3
Each year the administrator will establish priorities for educational resources and make the decisions to purchase specific new educational materials.
