Library books and media materials are chosen to meet identified needs and screened by a Library Selection Committee and submitted to the administrator for approval.
5331.2
The Library Selection Committee has the responsibility to identify library needs to meet students' interests and to support attainment of objectives listed in the course of study.

Adequate library materials will be supplied for all the age groups and ability levels of the students using the library.
5331.4
The library will provide current reference materials, including a set of encyclopedias having a copyright date within the past 5 years.
5332 Library Inventory

A listing of library selections are available as a separate document in the administrator's office.
5332.2
An inventory of equipment and administrative materials for the library are presented as part of the school inventory available in the office.
5332.3
The Dewey Decimal System will be used to catalog all library materials available to the students.
5333 Library Expenditures

A list of library expenditures is available in the administrator's office.
5334 Library Instruction
5334.1
Students will receive instruction in library skills on a regular basis.

Certificated staff will receive inservice instruction on the use of the library and its equipment.
