Individual Professional Development Plan

Directions for Completion of the IPDP

All teachers are responsible for their own recertification and the work that is entailed. You must keep track of your own course work, requirements, and paperwork as well as submitting this to the LPDC. See IPDP Goals Form

IPDP Teacher Profile

Complete the one page Educator Profile once for each certificate or license. See Teacher Profile Form

IPDP Annual Goals

All contract teachers, including those with a non-tax certificate, must complete an IPDP Goals Form and submit it to the LPDC. First year teachers should submit an Entry Year IPDP.
All Annual Goals should have at least 40 hours of professional development included (this translates to 4 CEUs a year).
  • Goals should be Specifc, Measurable, Attainable, Relevant, Time-specific (S.M.A.R.T.). Identify the activities that you will pursue to help you accomplish your goal.
  • Non-seat time activities MUST BE PRE-APPROVED BY THE LPDC to count towards professional development. Credit will be issued by the LPDC for non-seat time activities AFTER evidence of completion is submitted.
  • The Approved Professional Development Providers page indicates those providers which have been pre-approved by the XCS LPDC. This is a list in progress, and is not all-inclusive. You are asked to gain approval by your LPDC for providers who do not appear on this list.

IPDP Activity Log

The activity log is used to track professional development activities.

Directions for License Renewal

Submit original university credit transcripts, proof of class completion, Activity Log and any other documentation to the head of the LPDC. The LPDC will review your IPDP and approve your submission and your certificate renewal request.
