7131 Purpose of Guidance Plan

7131.1
XCS believes that the “abundant life” is a life experienced only by Christians doing God's will in all areas of life. God, having created man, knows best how he show live. The Old Testament calls the knowledge of how we should live "wisdom". The role of XCS is to assist parents in their God-given responsibility to nurture their children in the “path of wisdom” by providing guidance services in the following areas: instruction on guidance topics, student appraisal, student counseling, coordination with professional assistance, parent conferences, staff consultations, and program development. This services are described in a written guidance plan approved by the XCS board.

7132 Guidance Advisory Committee

7132.1
The administrator, counseling professionals, and selected parents or staff will form a guidance advisory committee.

7132.2
The guidance advisory committee has the responsibility to evaluate different aspects of the guidance program and review the guidance program at least once every five years.

7132.3
The guidance advisory committee has the responsibility to develop specific guidance programs approved by the administrator.
