6110 Extracurricular Activities

6111 Parties

6111.1
The following special days may be celebrated with class parties emphasizing the spiritual meaning of the days:

  • Thanksgiving
  • Christmas
  • Valentine's Day
  • Easter

6111.2
The teacher may schedule additional parties for birthdays, rewards, etc.

6111.3
Parties should be limited to the last hour of the day.

6111.4
The decision whether to have a party or not is at the discretion of the individual teacher.

6112 Non-School Activities

6112.1
The school building will be reserved for school children during school hours.

6112.2
Any special event taking place within the school building during school hours must have the approval of the administrator.

6113 School-Sponsored Activities

6113.1
Any school-sponsored social or extracurricular activity after school hours must have an adult sponsor and be approved by the administrator at least seven days prior to the event.

6113.2
Monthly school calendars and parent memos will publish school-sponsored activities.

6113.3
Activities must have administrator's approval to become a school-sponsored activity.

6113.4
No teacher or student is permitted to bring advertising materials or products of any kind into the school to sell, to distribute free of charge, or to display to the students or staff, unless part of an approved XCS-fund raising project.

6113.5
A teacher can not request a contribution of money for any purpose except approved charity projects or school activities.
