4130 Emergency Safety Procedures and Drills*

4131 Fire Safety

4131.1
In case of a fire, the building principal should be contacted immediately. The principal decides what action should be taken.

4131.2
CCS, XCS and HCS will conduct both announced and unannounced fire drills or emergency exit drills each month during the school year. Everyone in the building at the time of the drill is required to participate.

4131.3
The principal will keep a record of the date of the drill, number of participants, and the time of evacuation.

4132 Tornado Safety

4132.1
Each spring CCS, XCS and HCS will conduct an announced tornado drill. Everyone in the building at the time of the drill is required to participate.

4132.2
In case of a tornado warning or the sighting of a funnel, the principal will sound the tornado warning bell and students will report to the tornado safety area as practiced in drills.
