Worker Meetings

Quarterly meetings for the Christian workers will encourage and build up play group workers and their spouses (this is a good way to include the men and challenge them to reach out to the fathers).

Invite quality speakers to speak on such subjects as prayer, parenting, evangelism, follow up, discipleship, and intimacy with God. They must be very practical in nature and oriented to the needs of busy parents with young children. It is helpful to provide some child care.

Answers to prayer and the stories of play groups that have seen women come to Christ or start Bible studies are inspiring. This is a great opportunity for people to find new ideas for their group and realize that they are not alone — other groups may be experiencing similar challenges or rewards.

The meetings should be organized and on time. It is helpful to mention the meeting to the leaders in the monthly phone call and then send postcard invitations two weeks in advance to the leaders and workers of each play group.
