The Pastoral Counseling Department at Xenos is a fee for service ministry that helps people understand the obstacles that hinder them from successfully building their walk with Christ and developing healthy relationships.
The goal of pastoral counseling is to help people uncover the barriers that hinder their spiritual and emotional maturity. Patterns of sinful behaviors, conflict, defensiveness, and self-protection developed in the past can affect relational maturity in the present.
People really want to change, and often don't know how. Pastoral counselors meet with people to talk about the problems in their lives and give biblical and relational solutions. Spiritual and emotional maturity is a process which involves learning how to understand and forgive the past, expressing gratitude for the love and concern received, even though many times deficient, as well as deciding to sacrificially love others
The Xenos Counseling Staff consists of three pastoral counselors: Katey Downs, Bev DeLashmutt and Amy McCallum Moreno.
Appointments can be made by telephone.
