Some classes may already be full. Other classes may have prerequisites (read the class descriptions below for more information). If you cannot be enrolled, you will be notified by the registrar within a week.

Where will my class meet? Xenos classes meet at our main campus (1390 Community Park Drive) and at our office (1340 Community Park Drive). If noted, some classes will meet at the 4th Street Pavilion (1934 N. Fourth Street). (All in Columbus, Ohio.) Map

How do I pay? Students pay tuition on the first night of class - please bring exact change: cash or check.

Xenos Core Classes:

INTRODUCTION TO THE BIBLE
a 5-week class with Mark Bair
Whether you’re discovering the Bible for the first time, or eager to rekindle your passion for Scripture, this course will help you understand, enjoy and obey God’s Word in ways that draw you near to Christ and transform your life.

CHRISTIAN GROWTH
a 10-week class
God wants to transform your character and help you learn how to love others as He has loved you. This course will show you how God is at work in your life to guide and empower you through the growth process. Learn to see yourself and others through God’s eyes and explore how deep-seated change occurs.

CHRISTIAN MINISTRY 1
a  10-week class with Jenny Hale
This course is broken into two shorter modules covering Theology, Soteriology, Satanology & Eschatology.
Prerequisites: Students must have successfully completed Intro to the Bible and Christian Growth.

Module 1: Intro to Theology & Soteriology (6wks)

CHRISTIAN MINISTRY 2: USING YOUR BIBLE
an 8-week class with Tom Dixon
Learn how the books of the Bible were chosen and why we believe they are inspired. Students will also learn principles of biblical interpretation and how they apply to different types of biblical literature: narrative, poetry, wisdom, and epistles.
Prerequisites: Students must have successfully completed Intro to the Bible and Christian Growth.

APOLOGETICS: PDF Document
a 10-week class with James Rochford
This course is divided into two 5-week halves that can be taken independently, or together as one 10-week course.

This class will meet at the 4th St. Pavilion:  1934 N. 4th St.

APOLOGETICS 1: Positive Evidence for Christianity
Is Faith a leap in the dark? –or Is there evidence for the Christian faith? Are there good reasons to believe in God? Can I be a Thinking Christian? –or Is this an Oxymoron? If you have ever wondered about these issues, come join us this summer to learn more. This class will cover all of the classic evidence for the Christian Faith. All are welcome to attend.

APOLOGETICS 2: Negative Evidence Considered
Are there answers to the common objections of Christianity? In the second section of this course, we will consider negative evidence –or objections –raised up against the Christian faith.

GETTING UNDER THE HOOD PDF Document
a 3-week class with Lee Campbell
Do you tend to be very superficial with others – having conversations centered on work, entertainment & home improvement?  Does this bother you sometimes?  Perhaps you are not sure how to begin.  Maybe you worry about how messy & confusing things will get if you go deeper.  There is a simple approach that will help you become the kind of friend or mentor God intends you to be.  Join us for a challenging and practical guide to great relating.

HOMILETICS PDF Document
a 5-week class with Gary DeLashmutt
During the first two weeks of this five week workshop, Gary will present overviews of how to format teachings, and dynamic/ authoritative speaking. Over the course of the last three weeks, students will present two ten-minute teachings and receive feedback from the instructors and other participants. There will be assignments each week, but there will not be any quizzes or tests. There will be plenty of time to interact with questions. Registrants should be teaching in their Home Group and be recommended by their home group leader. Class size will be limited.

INITIATING SPIRITUAL CONVERSATIONS PDF Document
a one-day workshop with  Jeff Wilcox
Are you nervous about sharing your faith?  Or have you been doing it for some time but would like to become more effective?  Either way, this workshop will give you some creative ways to start spiritual conversations without being pushy, weird or “religious.”  You’ll learn effective ways of sharing your faith that won’t offend or turn people off.

Teachers' Assistants:

Each class needs one or more TAs to assist with the class. TA tasks include attending every class, arriving 30 minutes early, taking attendance, collecting class tuition and collecting homework. In return, class tuition is waived for anyone serving as the TA. If you are interested in serving as the TA for your class, check the box in the registration form when you sign up. If the TA position for your class is still open, the class registrar will contact you to provide further details and to confirm if you will be the TA.
